When its cold and wintry outside, its the perfect setting for feasting with friends and family.  More and more events are being held around the 25th July to help us celebrate Christmas like the rest of the world.  So if you are one of the lucky ones who is hosting a Christmas in July event this year, why not check out our top tips for injecting Christmas to your July event.

Decorations

It all starts with adding those gorgeous and glittery Christmas trinkets all around the house to set the tone for a Christmas feel.  Whether you are preparing for a backyard event or an indoor affair, its important to choose a deco that screams Christmas.  That includes Christmas lighting, the baubles and maybe event the Christmas tree with all the trimmings.

You can’t forget the table decor including the Christmas crackers and twinkling fairy lights to set the tone perfectly.

Candles/ Heating

It’s cold out there so why not set the mood by creating warmth and the inviting surrounds of Christmas.  Make sure if you are choosing to have your event outdoors that you fill your outdoor setting with heaters.  They can really add to the festive mood with their low flickering lighting.

Scattering little flickering candles all around your setting also creates the right feel and cosy environment for a Christmas In July event.

Music

You can’t have a Christmas In July event without the Christmas music.  So dust off your favourite Michael Buble or Diana Krall Christmas special CDs and get them ready to play throughout the day.  It is sure to inject your event with Christmas flair.

Food

Its all about the turkey! This is what will transform your event and leave that lasting impression with your guests.  Don’t forget the roasted potatoes, onions, carrots and garlic.  Finish it off with a rum infused chocolate pudding and you now have Christmas all served on a plate!

Drinks

Think cocktails with a touch of Christmas. Its not a party without the drinks so think Christmas and get your creative hat on! Mulled wine or cinnamon stick drinks can be that touch of class that will ensure that your event is remembered for many years.
